This week’s invitation is about instinct.

Notice this week when your instinct arises. What does it feel like in your body? What voice does it speak to you with?

Ask for help from the element of Earth, our mentor for this week, to help you learn how to discern the voice of instinct from the other voices in the body like anxiety, reactivity, and fear. How can you recognize the voice of instinct? You don’t have to know the answer. Ask Earth, and your own body, to teach you. Use your song to help that conversation open.

Practice vocalizing this week. When sensations and emotions arise give them voice. It doesn’t need to be dramatic and it doesn’t need to be high stakes. Start with low stakes moments like vocalizing a sigh when you’re running late and feeling stress driving your body. Maybe doing a little bounce to acknowledge a fear. We have damaged connection lines between what’s happening in our mind and how we’ve learned to stop ourselves from expressing it through our body as a metabolic process.

We’re repairing those lines now.

Notice opportunities to express and take courage in what you can give voice or movement to. Be patient with yourself.
